As we approach a new year, many of us will set new goals for the coming year.  According to statistics, less than 10% of people will keep their New Year’s resolution. Does this mean we should just scrap the idea and forget about setting goals?

Certainly not!

The key to success may lie in not just stopping an activity but replacing it with a new one. I read an article recently with a challenge focusing on just 3 simple words.

Start.

Stop.

Continue.

Ask yourself these questions.

What are a few things God is prompting you to initiate into your life?

What is God leading you to stop so you can achieve your full potential?

What is God affirming in you to continue doing, to keep pressing in and persevering?

Instead of setting your mind on a New Year’s resolution, set your mind on being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
