When we started Missional Living, we had a dream to build a “neighborhood” of homes to host cross cultural workers as they can back to the U.S. on furlough/home assignment. As we researched, met with builders, architects, and contractors, we realized that this was a huge financial commitment for a new ministry. The Lord redirected our efforts for housing. We developed relationships and began partnering with people in the community. These people have a gift of hospitality, a spirit of generosity, and a heart for missions. We currently have an inventory of 13 host homes. All of these homes vary. We have a host home partner that has (2) 6 bedroom lodges on a wooded property that is perfect for larger families giving a quiet peaceful place for a time of rest and renewal. We also have a host home partner that has a 2 bedroom townhome in the Farragut area that is convenient to Knoxville and the surrounding area, perfect for a couple or small family. We have several other community partners scattered throughout the Knoxville and surrounding area that have chosen to open their rental property, extra detached housing, mother-in-law suite, or shared space. The diversity of the housing allows us to respond to the diverse requests and needs of the cross cultural workers that we serve, all with unique needs.

If becoming a host home interests you and you would like to learn more, please contact me! I would love to discuss with you how you can partner with us. You will be a great blessing but you will also be so blessed by offering your gifts and resources!
