Time and time again, God has shown me how nothing is wasted.  He will use our circumstances, our resources, our skills, our time, abilities and more importantly disabilities to accomplish His will!

Many years ago, I met with a friend of mine, one that is much wiser than me.  We talked about using our gifts to serve.  So many times I can get into a mindset of grumbling about the gifts I don’t have instead of embracing the ones God has gifted unto me.   My friend was so good at pointing out strengths and helping me to plug into those gifts.  At the time, my kids were entering an age where they didn’t need me quite as much.  She was so wise to point out the gift of AVAILABILITY.

Time is a gift! Time to listen to someone in need.  Time to fix dinner for someone walking through illness.  Time to pick up a neighbor after surgery.  Time to babysit for someone that just needs an extra hand.  Time to simply pause in the busyness of life and respond to the needs that arise around you.

God keeps giving us exciting news!  We have a missionary family returning to the states.  We get to deliver a van to this family to use while they are on furlough.  We want to abundantly bless this family with goody bags to make them feel special.

Again, God showed me that NOTHING IS WASTED!

I have a friend that bottles water and she donated a case! Another friend is a dentist and donated toothbrushes and toothpaste.  I have another friend that loves saving money, and is brilliant at using coupons.  She is donating a stockpile of household items.   I have another friend that is a mom of three, she has her hands full and very little time, but she does vinyl lettering and offered to do personalized cups.  The list goes on and on.

We all have skills and resources, no matter how big or small….God will use them all!
